Spa Day!

Hi Everyone!

Yesterday I went to my friend's birthday party.  The party was at a spa and salon.  When we first got there one of the ladies who worked there gave us all little schedules on a note card, with our names on it.
This was my schedule.

        Adalie

 2:15  Facial
 2:25  Facial
 2:35  Hydro
 2:45  Break
 2:55  Manicure
 3:05  Snack
 3:15  Foot soak
 3:25  Pedicure

It was crazy!  First of all, I had never been to a spa before and never even got one of these things.  (Besides breaks and snacks.)  The invitation said that we would get a facial and a manicure OR  a pedicure.  To me just that was awesome.   But this was even more awesome!
I saw "hydro" on my schedule, but didn't have any idea what that was.  So I thought that maybe you might not either, so let me tell you what a hydro is.  A hydro is when you are on this mattress filled with water, then water sprays up and down your body for 10 minutes.  (The water sprays inside of the mattress so you won't get wet.)   It feels as if you were getting a massage.  It feels so good.
The manicure and the pedicure was so much fun as well!  I think I liked the pedicure the best.  My finger nails are a turquoise blue with some glimmer.  And my toe nails are hot pink.
After we finished our schedules the birthday girl opened presents.  We had cupcakes and she gave us all little bookmarks with a verse on it.  The verse was 1 Samuel 16:7b.  It said this,  "For God sees not as man sees, for man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart."

Field Trip with Friends!

Hi!  I would like to tell you about a field trip.
We went to the Black Sheep Creamery.
We got to see little lambs inside of a barn.  They were so cute!  Some of them were born two weeks ago.  We got to see where they made the cheese and yogurt.  It was interesting.  I never knew that there was such thing as sheep milk, cheese, and yogurt.  After that we went into a big pasture where the sheep were.  They let us pet them at the beginning, but some of the kids chased them around and they got pretty skiddish.  One of my friends was scared of the sheep because they were bigger then her.  She was only two.  She wanted me to pick her up all the time.  I did pick her up, but my arms got tired and I had to give her to someone else.  Then a few minutes after that the person that I handed her off to came back and said that she wanted me to hold her again.  When I was walking around, some sheep followed me.  It was like I was their little shepherdess.  There were two big dogs on the farm to protect the sheep.  Before they got the dogs they lost eleven sheep.  Now that they have the dogs they haven't
lost one sheep.  The coyotes smell the dog or hear the dogs and don't come near the sheep anymore.  At the end of the field trip anyone who wanted to try sheep cheese or sheep yogurt could.  I didn't try any because I didn't think I would like it.  But Zoie tried some of both and she said it was the worst.  Some of my friends didn't like it either. So I am glad that I didn't try it.
There's me with my little friend.
Entering the sheep pasture.

I was able to pet some of them.

The big dog!

I am a true shepherdess.
It was a great field trip!

My Little Sister

This is my new baby sister.  Her name is Leilani Promise.  She is amazing and adorable. I'm going to tell you how she came into our lives.  Well, first of all she came when we didn't expect she would come. Let me start at the beginning and what we were doing that very day.  Mom went to a doctor's appointment and we all came with her.  It was quick and we didn't have to wait very long.  Then we went home, had lunch, and then we went to the hospital so we could know where to go and where to park.  Sort of like a fire drill.  After that we went to an ultra sound to see how the baby was doing.  We went home and Mom was making Creamy Chicken Soup and focaccia bread.  While Mommy was rolling out the dough she started having contractions.  Mommy wanted us to finish eating dinner before we left for the hospital.  We were gulping down our soup, got everything packed up and we were out the door.  My sisters and I were super excited. We couldn't believe the baby was coming!  Once we got inside the hospital Mommy and Daddy left to a room and my sisters and I stayed in the waiting room.  We brought lots of stuff to do while we waited.  It was only about a half an hour until the lady at the desk asked us what our Mom's name was.  We said April and she said our baby sister was born a few minutes earlier and our Dad was going to come and get us soon.  We were so excited we could hardly wait to see her.  When Daddy got us we called our Grandpas and Grandmas and told them that our baby was born.  We went in and held her and got to help give Leilani her first bath.  And that is how Leilani Promise came into our lives.

Here are some pictures of her.
Enjoy:)

She was born at 7:37 pm.

Eight little feet.

Well that's it, hope you enjoyed the pictures!!!

Donut Baking!

Hello everybody, today we were in the mood to bake something delicious. We really wanted to bake doughnuts so mom got on the computer and found a recipe for Baked Pumpkin Ice Cream Glazed Donuts. Now doesn't that sound amazing! Well, we decided that that would be a good thing to bake on a fall day. So we got all the ingredients and started mixing, tasting, scooping some pumpkin mix into a pan, and then we baked the donuts. Then we took them out of the oven and tasted them and loved them, so we thought you would like it too. Here is the recipe! Hope you like them as much as we did!

Baked Pumpkin Ice Cream Glazed Donuts

3/4 cup all purpose flour
1 tablespoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1/4 cup plus 2 tablespoons canned pumpkin
1 large egg
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 tablespoons instant vanilla pudding mix
3/4 cup ice cream (measured before melting)
1/2 cup powdered sugar
1/4 cup heavy cream (you my need a couple tablespoons more if too thick)

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. and spray donut pan with non-stick cooking spray.

2. Place flour, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, sugar, pumpkin, egg, vanilla and pudding mix into a large mixing bowl.

3. Place ice cream into a microwave safe bowl and heat for 30 seconds or until just barely melted. Pour into mixing bowl and combine with other ingredients until well combined. Scoop batter into prepared donut pan (We used my cake pop pan for doughnut holes!)   Bake for 15-20 minutes, until baked through. Remove and let cool for 10 minutes before removing from pan.
4. To prepare the glaze, place powdered sugar and cream into a bowl, whisking to combine. Add more cream if needs thinning out. Dip tops of donuts in glaze and serve!

Amazing Adventurous Hikes!

Hi! I'm in a tree, on a beautiful hike, in Eagle Crest!
It's wonderful, it's sunny, and when it's sunny we love to explore and go on hikes.
I'm just going to show you some amazing pictures of our hikes in Eagle Crest. Shall we have a look?
 Isn't she adorable?
This is the first hike that we took along the Deschutes River.
It was a nice hike, perfect temperature.
Say "Cheese" Zoie.

We are on a big boulder! It was a little difficult getting up but we made it!

This is a different rock I climbed up.  It was very steep so it was harder than the first one.
This is our second hike to Cline Falls.
Isn't it beautiful?
There were a few little waterfalls around the big waterfall.
Here's my wonderful family!
More pictures!
 Yes, we are goof balls!
This is our final hike, Smith Rock.
We did the full loop around Smith Rock.
Starting with the easy trail, then it went into the medium trail, the last part was the difficult trail!!
And let me tell you something, the difficult trail was difficult.
It was steep, and rocky.  We were high above the ground.  It was awesome!!
We found a little rock with a hole in it, so we all climbed in.
We made it to the top!
It was hard but it was worth it and the view was beautiful.
You could see absolutely everything!
We had a wonderful time exploring new places, climbing on rocks and trees, and conquering mountains.

Wood Working With Grandpa!

We went to Grandpa and Grandma's house to do a wood working class with Grandpa. Grandpa showed us all the tools we will be needing for our project.
First we need to cut the wood. Grandpa shows us how to use his power saw. We need to put safety glasses on so saw dust doesn't get in our eyes when we cut. We have to measure the wood and mark it so we know where to cut it. Here I go!
Grandpa shows Kylia and Zoie how to sand the wood pieces I cut.

Good job Zoie!  Sand those pieces of wood!
Kylia's turn to cut the wood.
                                                 Sand, sand, sand.
Zoie cuts the wood. Great job, cutting is done!
Grandpa puts all the pieces of wood together so we can nail them together with a nail gun. Here I go!!
Kylia's turn.   Great job!  We are almost done!  Grandma and Mommy brought home a little can of green paint to match our room. We got to wear Grandpa's old paint shirts. We painted it and we painted it. It was so much fun. Here's the finished picture of the box in our new room that we set up down stairs in the closet. Thanks Grandpa for teaching us how to build a box.

Light -up Frisbee

Justin and Auntie brought light-up Frisbees to the Mitchell Family Campout. One  night we brought them out and a bunch of people played toss with four of  the Frisbees.  We were in a big circle and whoever wanted to play was welcome to play, and others just watched.  Some of us had head-lights and others had glow sticks.  It was pitch black so really you were just throwing to light.  Most of the time you really didn't know who you were throwing it to. That's part of why it was fun.
I also got to know my cousins Isaiah and Emma better, and after the Frisbee game we all played on the tire swing before bed. It was super fun!
Anyways, here are some pictures my Mom took of the Frisbee game. Hope you like them!
