Celebrating!

Last weekend we celebrated Kylia's 11th birthday.  I'm always excited for birthdays because not only does the birthday person have fun but we do too.  So Kylia's birthday was probably the best birthday celebration that I have ever experienced.  On Saturday we went horse back riding.  We got there and there were lots of horses saddled and ready to go.  While we were waiting we had fun seeing all the names and choosing the horse we wanted.  We all got into the ring and the two guides brought over the horse we had chosen.  Zoie's horse was a blackish brownish and her name was Cinderella.  Kylia's horse was the same color as Zoie's and his name was Derrick.  Mommy's horse was a reddish brownish and her name was Star.  Daddy's and Leilani's horse was brown and her name was Sunny.  Leilani rode with Daddy.  My horse was beige and his name was Majestic.  They were beautiful horses.  The guides gave us a little lesson on how to ride a horse.  Once everyone got saddled up we headed on the trail.  We were riding in the woods so it was cool and quite a pleasant ride.  All the horses liked to stop and eat.  It was hard to get them going.  Some wild turkeys jumped out at the guides' horse and the horse turned around because it got spooked.  Zoie's horse also got spooked and started to turn around.  We got the horses back on the trail and kept on going.  There was one place called the roller coaster.  It was this hill where the horses ran down and back up.  I felt like I was going to fall off!  We rode horses for about an hour.  It was a great ride.  Afterwards we were ready for lunch.  We drove to Jellystone park and had a picnic lunch with Yogi the bear.  We finished lunch and we were ready to head home.  We drove and got some gas first, then we drove right into the MOVIE THEATER PARKING LOT!!!!!  Daddy surprised us and my sisters and I was so excited.  We watched the Minions.  It was pretty funny.  It was nice to just sit in the air conditioning and watch a fun movie.
Sunday we woke up and had a yummy breakfast.  While we were eating Kylia opened up her presents.  I love giving gifts and seeing their expression.  She loved all the presents.  We went to church and afterward we went to a friends house for a barbecue.  They have a pinball machine which we played with pretty much the whole time.  Kylia got another present from our friends brother and his wife.  They gave her a pretty purse which was the last thing on her list.  She was pretty excited!  Then to end the wonderful day we went to Dairy Queen for dinner and ice cream.  What a wonderful day!  Enjoy the pictures!  They're a little mixed up. I didn't put them in the right order.  I hope you will still be able to follow along.

We Went To the Fair

Sunday was free family day at the county fair! So we went!  We arrived a hour before the parade so we walked through all the animal barns.
We also got two large lemonade shake ups to quench our thirst.  It was fresh squeezed lemonade they made right in front of us.  The lemonade was good!  After we looked at all the animals we went and looked at tractors.
The tractors started to leave for the parade so we walked to find our seats.  While we were heading to our seats we found homemade ice cream for free.   You just make a donation to get a yummy bowl of ice cream.  We got our seats and ate our ice cream while we waited.  In the parade there were fire trucks, police cars, race cars, tractors, mini cars, and so much more.
It was a long parade and afterwards we were hungry.  So we went to this wood fire pizza place.  They sold little pizzas so we got four different kinds and we all got drinks.  We got a bacon cheese burger pizza which was pretty much the weirdest one.  It had mustard and ketchup so it tasted different.  We also had a chicken club, all meat (which was my favorite :), and buffalo chicken which was a little spicy (my second favorite.)
After dinner we headed over to a little tent where you can make your own lasso.  We each made one.  All you have to do is turn the crank to twist the rope together.
While we were making ropes Leilani played with the water pump.
She had a lot of fun playing in the water.  There was a place where you can shoot a gun at a target.  We got a little tutorial on how to shoot a gun.  We got all set up and we tried to get a bulls eye.  We got to keep our targets.  We all did pretty good!  It was a wonderful day at the fair.

The Fourth of July

This year we celebrated the Fourth at the movie investors house with the cast and crew.  We got there at the same time as the puppies.  One of the guys on the crew breeds German shepherd puppies.  And he brought them to the party!  He had five eight week old puppies and needed some help carrying them to the backyard where the party was.  I gladly offered my assistance.  As soon as he said that I could pick one up I immediately did so.  They were the cutest little things.  Once we got to the backyard everyone wanted to hold the puppies, but one stayed with me!  I played with it in the grass and snuggled with it.  They didn't nip or anything, they were so sweet.  We had dinner of hamburgers and hot dogs.  After dinner we played some more with the puppies until they started digging in the garden, then we had to put them back in the kennel.  Since the puppies were put away, we went jet skiing.  I went with Zoie and the director.  I held on to Zoie and I told her "If you fall off, I fall off with you.  So don't fall off!"  It was fun!  Later I went with mommy and she sure got going fast.   I almost flew off a couple of times. We were pretty much giggling the whole time!  We also went tubing behind a boat with Ella and Preslee.  We tried not to fly off!  Once we got back to land, after our thrilling ride behind a boat, a speed boat offered to take some people wake surfing.  I didn't go surfing, but Kylia tried.  She didn't get up but at least she tried.  The director sure did a good job.  After everyone got a try who wanted one we headed back to land.  We started getting ready for fireworks.   We got blankets and chairs out on the lawn and did sparklers.  I got a plate of goodies for the show and talked with our friends.  Then the show started, it was pretty.  It was a long show too.  It was a fun Fourth of July!
Zoie on the far left, Preslee, Adalie, Kylia, and Ella on the far right.
Having fun with sparklers and friends!

P.S. I miss you family and nothing can be better then celebrating with you!
P.P.S. And you can't beat Disneyland fireworks :)

Days Of Fun!

On Monday we met the director's daughters, Ella and Preslee.  Ella is ten and Preslee is thirteen.  We were shooting in the college library.  While the crew was setting up we played games, put together puzzles, and talked. That was the start of our friendship.

The next day I was sick, but Kylia and Zoie got to play some more with the girls.

Wednesday was really fun, and let me tell you why!  We got to the set and ate breakfast. Today we were shooting at a cemetery, and after breakfast we wanted to find a park.  We walked all throughout the cemetery to find the exit but we couldn't find one.  We asked a lady if she knew the way to the park.  She told us the way, and we found two parks, one was on the lake and had a beach.  We had a lot of fun making obstacle courses and playing in the sand.

Once we were done the crew was ready to head to the next location.  At the next location there was a pizza place right on the corner.  So we were sort of joking around and asked the girl's dad if we could have a pizza.  He said sure and asked what kind we wanted.  We said pepperoni and he sent some one to get us a pizza.  It was so good!

We played in the grass and the director (Ella and Preslee's dad) came up and told us that we were going to be extras in two scenes today.  We were so excited that we were going to be extras all together.  The first scene we were in was us walking out of an ice cream shop with our Auntie and walking around the corner.  Well, Zoie and Ella ran.  The Auntie had to motion them back this way and tell them not to run because we were near the street.  We couldn't talk, we had to mime everything. That was what we were supposed to do if you were wondering.  We had to do it about six times.  The second scene was us playing tag on the grass in the background without talking or laughing.  It was fun!  After those scenes we took Ella to our house and watched a movie.  It was a fun day!

Thursday was fun too! To start the day we went to a paint your own pottery place with Ella and Preslee.  I painted a plate, Ella painted a sign that says dream, Preslee painted an elephant piggy bank, Zoie painted a lady bug, and Kylia painted two other little trinkets. While my mom was doing laundry at a lady's house one day she was talking to the lady's brother in-law.  He said that we could
come over and learn about bees and go kayaking.
So we decided it would be fun to bring our friends. After that fun little outing at the pottery place we went kayaking and learned about bees.  We got to stick our finger in the actual honey comb and taste the honey.  It was the best honey I have ever tasted. We jumped off of his pier and kayaked in his kayaks.

We went back to set and painted our nails with the American Flag colors for the Fourth of July.
Then we played at the park and made more obstacle courses.  It was a fabulous day.

Action!

Today was our first day on the movie set!  We got to base camp for breakfast around 9:00 a.m.  Base camp is the place where all the actors and actresses get ready. There are trailers for hair and make up, wardrobe, and the main actors and actresses get their own trailer to relax in.

Since my sisters, mommy, and I were going to be extras today we needed to get our outfits all put together.  After we were all ready we hopped on the shuttle and drove to the set.  They didn't need us for a while but we got to watch and see how they make a movie. After each scene the crew had to get set up for the next scene.  So while the actors and actresses rested we stood in for them so the crew could get all the sound, lighting, and cameras set up and where they needed to be.  We were simply standing and talking to each other.  It was fun to be a stand-in.

After that it was time for us to get into our position and understand what we were supposed to do for our extra part.  We needed to play behind Ava and Ben while they talked and met for the first time.  We had to do several takes to get just what the director wanted and to make sure all the actors, actresses, and extras did the right thing.  It was hot and humid so we were hot and sticky.  It is hard to pretend to play. :)  Mommy was Ava's mom's double. Which means mommy had to do the part since the real actress couldn't be there.  She would walk down some steps and say, "Ava, dinner."  She did a good job.  After that we headed to lunch.  I got to sit next to Caige on the shuttle, the girl that plays Ava.  She is very nice and talkative.  She is only six years old and is a very good actress.  It was fun talking to her.  After lunch we went home.  We liked being on the set and helping out.
That's me being a stand in.

Fundraiser's Going Great!

Hi everyone!
I've been having great success with my fundraiser.  I sold enough scarves to pay for registration and the first month.  I got my uniform, warm ups, and a bag ordered.
After one of my soccer games, I was delivering a scarf to my coach.  We shared what we were doing with a few other parents on the team, and by the end of the day we had sold five scarves!!  It was amazing! God is good!
I had my first practice in my new league yesterday and it was fun.  I like my coaches and I am excited for this soccer season.
I am going to be at church on Sunday with samples and order forms.  If you haven't heard about my fundraiser go to the post that is titled "Fundraiser for Soccer!"
Sequins are back on the list!  We have had a lot of interest in them and so I found a way to make them longer. They are still not as long as the other ones, but make a beautiful scarf.  Here are some pictures of different colored scarves we have recently finished.
